eighty-horsepower Savic electric powered motorbike debuts down under | Real Questions and Pass4sure dumps

Savic Motocycles has simply made its first public appearance on the Melbourne motorcycle Expo, with a brand new electric cafe racer or not it's planning to have on sale by way of 2020. The proper-of-the-latitude Alpha bike will pack 60 kW (80 hp), with a max range around 250 km (one hundred fifty five mi) round town and a price tag around US$14,500.

established by using 26-12 months-historic Melbourne engineer and MBA holder Dennis Savic, this new enterprise is specializing in excessive efficiency and simplicity, as well as protecting expenditures low. As such, its entry-level Omega bike will cost simply AU$12,000 (US$8,seven hundred) – albeit with a mild 20-kW (27 hp) motor.

The bikes are built round an easy, curved metal tube frame. whereas this prototype shows the big, finned battery container as a separate unit, within the creation bike, battery and motor could be built-in collectively right into a single, liquid-cooled, L-formed unit that varieties part of the stressed constitution of the body.

again, while this prototype uses huge, cylindrical battery cells, Savic tells us the production bike will use a greater compact association of pouch cells. The maximum battery measurement should be round eleven kWh, and the fastest bike, the Alpha, will run at around 150-a hundred and fifty five volts. The heaviest construction bike should still be round a hundred and eighty kg (397 lb), which is far from obese, and there may be drastically lighter types obtainable with the Delta and Omega bikes, which use smaller motors and batteries.

The Alpha's 60-kW (eighty-hp) motor would make for a ripping journey if Zero's jaw-dropping 70-hp SR is any indication. peak torque, obtainable normally through the direct drive single-speed powertrain, is around 150 Nm (110 lb-toes), and correct speed should still be around 160 km/h (100 mph). Savic himself, who once owned a Vectrix electric scooter, says the prototype is fantastic fun to journey, with a smooth, quiet magic carpet-like feeling to it.

Will it wheelie? Savic laughs and says, "The prototype, I haven't tried. however i could be very surprised if a 60-kilowatt motorcycle can't get the front wheel up!" Early bikes will present valued clientele the potential to spec their own forks, shocks, wheels and tires.

while the bikes are completely Australian designed, Savic is open about his manufacturing realities: "now we have install a deliver chain in Taiwan. We in reality had no different alternative, we may get materials utterly made for less than the expense of the substances right here in Australia." the primary production run is anticipated by 2020, and will be around 50-100 bikes. Savic plans to sell this primary run in Australia earlier than trying to expand his distribution networks.

it will be an enchanting look at various case for the Aussie electric powered bike market, as there is little or no in the approach of quick charging infrastructure down under at this stage. Couple that with a lack of executive subsidies or tax breaks on low emissions vehicles, and add on a reasonably conservative biker market, and Savic could have an uphill fight on his fingers. Vectrix and 0, as an example, could not discover a means to make issues work in the Australian market.

nevertheless, Vectrix and nil may also have played their hand too early. As electric powered transport tech continues to trickle into the public focus in the type of electric cars, e-bikes, skateboards, scooters and all method of other conveyances, individuals become more receptive, and economies of scale start to kick in. And if Savic manages to hit his rate aspects, he'll be capable of present fairly respectable packages targeted at the green commuter or brief-latitude twisties rider.

Dennis Savic has applied a considerable degree of determination, smarts and pragmatism to get issues to this factor. we wish this young man and his business all the gold standard, and may stay in contact as Savic strikes towards creation.

Industrial 3D Printer purchasing guide 2018 | Real Questions and Pass4sure dumps

Industrial 3D printers are used for manufacturing. Reliability, uptime and repeatability are very critical to those techniques. the supply of the printer and the throughput are key concerns on no matter if to buy one. Industrial 3D printers have a big range of application areas and make numerous styles of constituents. Many 3D printers are area of interest products and optimized for one particular utility, client, fabric or use case.

i do know everyone desires to purchase the “superior” 3D printer but there isn’t an overall most useful 3D printer. similar to there isn’t a “top of the line automobile”, a Veyron is terrific, except you need to take four americans someplace. A 911 is an awesome car however no longer at offroading. usacould not use either car to tremendous efficaciously carry programs, notwithstanding they are quick. in the same vein, 3D printers are horses for classes. There are specific methods for dental workplaces and others for dental centres and others that might make feel doing dental construction in a extra factory-like surroundings. similarly, there are systems that are supposed to be deployed in factory and others which are less industrial but each are being used for manufacturing.  reckoning on the throughput and even a material or geometry a undeniable printer can be greater acceptable for you. due to this, I’ve tried to divvy up our industry into a number of segments that appear logical to creating a 3D printing buying choice more straightforward for you.

In-workplace production & Prototyping techniques are techniques that should be able to feature in an office environment. They should still not need industrial HVAC or high vigor or other advanced necessities. They should be greater official and have better repeatability than computing device techniques. In some situations these techniques are used to make many tens of thousands of components. These components are continually for engineers and designers for checking out or they need to be brought to in an workplace. In universal these techniques should be effortless to make use of, not a ache to make use of and provides decent ingredients. In support removing regularly these machines require a water bathtub, solvent tub, water jet station or corresponding to eradicate guide material. This enviornment will get somewhat messy if now not tended to neatly and this is no longer very workplace-pleasant indeed. other methods which are too large or would give too a whole lot bother or too plenty free powder to work in an office aren't put in this category.

excessive-Temperature 3D Printers print at above 420°C and have construct chambers that will also be heated to above 90°C. they've hardened components, are often handy to make use of and may deliver good exceptional ingredients when compared to desktop programs. much less competent in build volumes and speed than a good deal bigger industrial systems they should let people having said that make first rate parts. They should have loads of settings and have good handle over the heat in construct chambers. Nozzle temperatures, construct platform temperatures and airflow may still be managed. A high degree of control over the temperatures within the construct chamber is a fine signal of a very good excessive-Temperature 3D Printer, HEPA and carbon filters should still be on the machine as should still some kind of directed airflow answer to permit superior pin aspect part cooling. The leading use of those programs is to 3D print ultra excessive-performance materials akin to PEEK, PEKK and PEI (Ultem). PEEK is in excessive demand for aerospace and clinical applications and has one of the most highest continous provider temperatures, strengths and resistance to solvents that you'll discover in a plastic. PEKK is a more moderen material that may have similar efficiency in some circumstances but can be eminently greater tweakable. PEI is a material it truly is eminently suitable for aerospace purposes as it has low smoke, low toxicity and low flame as well as being inherently flame retardant. These materials are pushing the envelope within the efficiency of polymers and are being used to change metals in plane, high-performance cars and in the physique.

PPA (these are excessive-efficiency nylon materials corresponding to Ultramid, Rilsan, Stanyl and other newer types of those substances) have historically now not been able to attain the efficiency ceilings of PEEK (they’re additionally at the same time known as PAEKs) and the like however companies are establishing substances that in some cases have tremendously high performance. setting up, checking out and producing these elements should still be accomplished on excessive-temperature 3D printers.

the two categories “For the big-Scale Manufacturing of excellent and enormously unique gadgets” and “For the tremendous-Scale Manufacturing of challenging end-Use constituents” may look just a little contrite. really, notwithstanding manufacturers using 3D printing to make parts usually want durability and dimensional accuracy at all expenses or need smoothness and aspect at all charge. For a listening to help, you need it to be comfortable and clean mainly. It doesn’t ought to be totally mighty. For that kind of an application you’re going to be looking at SLA or DLP to make it always as a result of these can at scale provide you with thousands and thousands of easy particular constituents that work as a listening to support. if you’re making a mould for a dental part you’re additionally going to use these technologies and if you need a solid for jewellery you’ll turn out to be with these methods as neatly.

meanwhile other valued clientele desire difficult constituents that should be strong and hold up neatly within the toughest situations. right here practically you flip to FDM or SLS to make these components. These printers are able to spitting out tens of lots of these dimensionally accurate ingredients per day. They’re much less certain and easy than the other elements however stronger. commonly americans inquire from me in the event that they may still get FDM or SLS or SLA. Its the incorrect question to ask. what's your want? What do you should make and what does it need to do? in keeping with that always, we become taking a fork within the highway and either go for extremely targeted technologies or complicated constituents.

in your price range tremendous-format programs are a totally new category. Many older methods are optimized for ten thousand issues the measurement of a marble. With significant-structure techniques, we started to see $20,000 to $60,000 make 50 cm by using 50 cm components.  A extremely specific expensive half such a dimension (think a grand for the part) was already viable. These systems can help you make that part for just a few hundred bucks although. These methods unfolded absolutely new markets for 3D printing. things comparable to 3D printed mannequins, moulds for concrete, building ingredients, bumpers and panels on cars. different methods are stronger at velocity and continually also element however these systems improve cost-effective massive materials, from time to time as excessive as a meter or two.

The purpose of this book is to give some clarity in the 3D printing market as to which systems are the most effective selections for manufacturing the usage of 3D printing in plastics. These classes are also alleged to give individuals a clearer photo of what they could find for his or her wants. Is there a class that you simply believe I should still add?

I’ve performed 50 interviews with key people in the trade on the OEM, polymer, chemical substances, additives, filament, powder and industrial clients to estimate market sizes and relative deserves of vendors, substances and technologies. subsequently, I had over forty wide interviews with industrial end clients of 3D printers this 12 months to investigate how happy they were with their equipment, what they lacked and how they used this gadget. For some machines, I’ve been able to 3D scan and examine measure constituents as well as look at yield. I interviewed resellers in several countries to look what they notion of their providing and what issues they had with OEMs and machines. I’ve been doing competitive analysis and competitive landscaping in 3D printing for a decade now and have been monitoring the desktop, substances and application information for nine years as well as doing these interviews.

There are a great deal of providers and there's a whole lot of price judgment within the sum total of this evaluation. I won't have facts on all machines and might no longer track all machines’ performance at the moment. There is no true DPI or megapixel for our business and comparing parts is difficult as well. I’ve tried to be as fair as i can. I don’t base this on press releases, promises or blah blah. I know that you simply say that your issue is stronger. in the case of hype versus a user who can inform me that his device has been running non stop for weeks, I’ll take the latter judgement.  I do remember this approach is not superb and however I do have some complicated statistics, a whole lot of the suggestions that here is based on is subjective in nature. besides the fact that children, I do agree with that this is essentially the most helpful strategy to ebook valued clientele to reviewing the highest quality techniques for them. I don’t are expecting individuals to exit an impulse buy a $330,000 printer according to this article but it surely may still assist you separate the wheat from the chaff. Ideally, I’d have a lab with 200 printers in them and be in a position to dial each in and then compare output with metrology and trying out. here is whatever I’d cherish to do, so please do say hello if you understand how I may make this turn up. also, consider free to ship me printers.

I’m attempting to make a very quick book here to help determination-making. With customers who are searching for printers whatever thing like this (however made for them) actually does suffice. If I put in too a good deal aspect it is going to turn into unwieldy and boring. youngsters, on a old guide americans observed i was too quick. What particulars would you love me to encompass? What can be advantageous for you? If issues like build volume are simple, I might make a table for instance. I feel that this may be handier and make this extra digestible for you. I welcome any remarks and tips on the way to enhance this e book.

Press release from the issuing company

New solutions, product enhancements introduced at China Print 2013

BEIJING - HP today announced continued market acceptance of the B2-format HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, which is helping print service providers (PSPs) worldwide grow their businesses through increased efficiency and a wider range of digital print applications.

Installations of the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press are now complete in 11 countries. Examples of customers that have recently adopted the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press include:

  • Avery Dennison added HP Indigo 10000 Digital Presses to its China plant to strengthen regional operations and increase productivity to better service its customers in the retail apparel industry.
  • Netherlands-based Digital4 installed the press to take advantage of its wider format and bolster its digital print capabilities.
  • The Matlet Group, based in the United States, acquired the press to produce commercial and packaging applications, and to deliver new innovations to its customers.
  • Momentum of the entire HP Digital Press Portfolio continues, with more than 6,000 HP Indigo Presses and 100 HP Inkjet Web Presses installed worldwide as of the end of January.

Since the introduction of the HP Inkjet Web Press in 2009, many customers have adopted multiple presses to drive their business transformation. This includes O’Neil Data Systems, which has seven presses, CPIwith six HP Inkjet Web Presses, and Communisis and Courier, which have four HP Inkjet Web Presses each.

Widespread adoption of these solutions, including explosive growth in the Asia Pacific and Japan region (APJ), has driven the analog to digital transformation in the graphics industry and contributed to the strong growth of high-value digital pages.

HP also announced a series of new solutions and product upgrades for its digital press portfolio, enabling PSPs to expand capabilities and help increase profitability.

“PSPs are facing immense pressure to expand their services and add new capabilities to remain competitive in the marketplace,” said Stephen Nigro, senior vice president, Graphics Solutions Business, HP. “HP’s expanded graphics portfolio, introduced one year ago at drupa 2012, is fueling the industry transformation from analog to digital printing by helping our customers expand their range of applications, go after high-value pages and grow their businesses.”

HP made these announcements in conjunction with China Print 2013, where HP is the largest digital printing exhibitor.

Capturing new applications with HP Indigo Digital Presses

To help customers protect their investments and produce a broader range of high-value applications, HP is introducing new features for its best-selling HP Indigo Digital Presses.

The company demonstrated a new red-fluorescing invisible ink for the HP Indigo 7000, 7500 and 7600 Digital Presses. Currently available on the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press, HP Indigo ElectroInk UV Red is valuable for tracking and anticounterfeiting features. It is expected to be available worldwide in September.

HP also is demonstrating 600-micron (24mil) one-shot printing for the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press, which enables PSPs to produce high-margin synthetic applications such as mono-core cards and signs. This capability is expected to be available worldwide in October.

Both features build on the capabilities HP introduced last year for the industry-leading HP Indigo 5X00 and 7X00 series Digital Presses to offer PSPs greater application versatility, increased productivity and improved automation.

HP also introduced Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM) for the HP Indigo 3550 Digital Press. EPM, which was introduced on all other HP Indigo Digital Presses last year, gives customers a competitive edge by reducing turnaround times and production costs. With EPM, color jobs use only three inks instead of four, without compromising print quality. This capability is expected to be available worldwide in June 2013.

Also at China Print, HP will feature the HP Indigo W7250 and WS6600 Digital Presses, as well as its wide range of workflow solutions, including HP SmartStream Production Center, designed to help PSPs increase productivity and efficiency of their HP Indigo digital presses.

New solutions for HP Inkjet Web Presses

HP is developing new solutions designed to help PSPs maximize their return on investment in production inkjet equipment. New workflow and color management solutions include:

  • HP SmartStream Composer, a variable data printing (VDP) composition server for HP SmartStream Designer templates. Currently available for HP Indigo Presses, HP SmartStream Composer is now optimized to run at inkjet web press speed for a variety of applications. It is targeted at printers who generate personalized print products and are looking for a cost-effective VDP composition solution for HP Color Inkjet Web Presses.
  • HP SmartStream Web Press Color Studio, a comprehensive suite of tools and solutions for the HP Color Inkjet Web Press family, enables optimal inkjet color print quality by allowing PSPs to accurately check color quality before going to print. Using the solution helps PSPs achieve consistent color results from design through print. It includes soft proofing, the ability to create ICC color profiles, spot color matching aids, installation and on-site color training. The HP SmartStream Web Press Color Proofer also is available as an option for hard-copy proofing using an HP Designjet Z3200ps proofing device.
  • HP SmartStream Composer and HP SmartStream Web Press Color Studio are available worldwide.

3D printing technology shakes up parts production for automakers, suppliers | real questions and Pass4sure dumps

Automakers and suppliers are on the cusp of revolutionary change through their growing use of 3D printing, a technology that can make custom parts on demand and has the potential to mass-produce parts.

Once the technology achieves critical mass, industry analysts say, 3D printing also could affect fixed operations at dealerships.

Many automakers now use 3D printing to make prototype parts for vehicle development, as well as tools and assembly aids for manufacturing operations. Several car companies are looking into making production parts with 3D printers in the next five years. Some automakers currently produce handfuls of small replacement parts, typically interior trim pieces.

Tech geeks and do-it-yourselfers already are making small parts on demand for older cars — ashtrays, clips and interior trim for which the tooling is long gone — with 3D printers that cost less than $500. Lurking on the sidelines are technology startups with 3D printing expertise that could become new suppliers to the industry.

If auto manufacturers, suppliers and others see so much potential from 3D printing, should dealers also be excited about its prospects, especially large dealership groups that have deep pockets and scale? Why buy parts from a vendor or scrounge for a hard-to-find clip or trim molding when a dealership could produce it in house?

Nikhil Gupta, a mechanical engineering professor at New York University, says jumping into manufacturing would be out of character for dealers whose business model is to sell and service cars.

"Once you start manufacturing something, you create a cost center within your company," Gupta told Fixed Ops Journal. "A lot of times, people are not comfortable having a big cost center along with a revenue center within the same company structure. There are incentives, but there also are downsides."

Using a 3D printer to make high-quality components that are durable and have a finished appearance is more expensive than conventional manufacturing, especially when it is done in low volumes, Gupta warns.

Moreover, he estimates that a single printer capable of making several different parts today could cost $750,000 to $1 million, although printer costs are dropping. HP announced recently that it plans to offer a $400,000 3D printer called Metal Jet that makes metal parts.

Becoming a parts manufacturer raises other issues for dealers, Gupta adds.

"Who's going to take the responsibility for liability?" he says. "How do they test the products that they make in their shop? Should dealers take this responsibility of testing everything and taking the liability? We don't know that yet."

    Appearance counts

Rohit Mathew, manager of the 3D printing portfolio at Carlisle & Co., an auto consulting firm in Concord, Mass., says the auto industry's high standards for quality and appearance rule out using cheap, over-the-counter 3D printers for many parts, especially those that are visible in vehicles.

"The parts you can make on a $400 3D printer that's available to the public wouldn't work for certain interior parts," Mathew says. "If you're going to put it under a console or it's just a clip that's out of sight, the surface finish doesn't really matter. All that really matters is whether it's going to hold up."

Mathew cites bumper cover clips as an example of a small part that dealership shops could produce on 3D machines. Vehicle accessories that are decorative instead of functional also are good candidates, he says.

Mini USA soon will launch a program that uses 3D printing to enable owners to electronically design personalized exterior and interior trim accessories for their vehicles through an online portal called MINI Yours Customized.

Mini will produce the parts from digital designs on 3D printers in Germany. Customers will be able to choose from templates for different designs and select colors, patterns and surface finishes. They also can add text, such as their name or a nickname for their car.

    Production schedule

General Motors acquired 3D printers more than 30 years ago. It now employs them mainly to make prototype parts used in vehicle development and for aerodynamic testing. But GM expects 3D printers will make production parts in the next three to five years.

"At this point, it's targeted for low-volume production vehicles and accessories and motor sports, some of the performance variants that we have, maybe lower-volume trim models on some of our vehicles," says Kevin Quinn, GM's director of additive design and manufacturing.

"Starting out, it will probably be parts you don't see," Quinn adds. "With accessories, personalization and customization, I think there will be some opportunities to demonstrate it with some parts that you do see, but probably a quicker path of implementation for maybe bracketry, things that are behind the scenes in the vehicle."

Farther down the road, 3D printing has the potential to save money on parts production. GM has shown a "proof of concept" seat bracket made with 3D printing that it says has 40 percent less mass and is 20 percent stronger than a similar bracket made with conventional manufacturing. The bracket is made of one piece instead of eight pieces welded together, reducing tooling and subassembly costs.

GM also uses 3D printers to make hand tools, jigs, fixtures and assembly aids in its production plants. One such fixture has made it easier to install sun visors at GM's assembly plant in Delta Township, Mich. Another prevents scratching of painted surfaces when fasteners are installed.

Quinn says the ability to print prototype parts for vehicle development can save time as well as money. It also gives engineers more flexibility to evaluate multiple iterations of a physical part, he says.

"Previously, when we would have had to build a low-volume part, such as a small plastic bracket, we had to build an aluminum injection mold tool, and you would have to wait 10 to 12 weeks before you could produce that," Quinn says. "Now, within days, if not hours, we can print those parts."

HP's first (and last?) Android tablet-printer does Apple's AirPrint | real questions and Pass4sure dumps

HP releases its eStation printer, a product that may have been too far in development to cancel when they bought the Palm OS.

This strange new HP (HPQ) Photosmart eStation Printer is a bunch of things in one.  It is an 7-inch Android tablet with lots of different wireless imaging functions.  The ta let docks in and controls a printer/scanner/copier which is wirelessly attached to the tablet and the Internet. Interestingly, one function allows it to handle Apple’s (AAPL) iOS AirPrint and print straight from iOS 4.2 devices like the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Focusing on the tablet aspect, the device will likely be one of HP’s last that runs Google’s (GOOG) Android.  That’s not to say a lot of work hasn’t been done on Android in this product.  In the video below, you can see that HP has managed to put in a lot of interesting printing functionality in the OS.

But HP/Palm is already gearing up developers for HP tablets and printers that will be running PalmOS.  The following note was passed to Palm developers saying that HP was building iPad-sized tablet hardware that should be hitting the street by early 2011.

Now that we are officially part of HP, we are going full speed ahead with our applications initiative. Our proprietary operating system, webOS, is now the OS that will be used in HP’s mobile devices. This includes mobile handsets as well as tablet-style devices similar to the iPad. We will accordingly leverage Palm’s ability to innovate and the scale of HP’s vast install base and distribution network previously unavailable to us.

Office Depot is the only place I could find currently selling the device for $400.  That’s a pretty solid deal if you consider that seven inch, name brand Android tablets are likely to be selling for more than $400 alone.

So what does it mean for this strange device?  Is the low price an indication of a short lifespan?

HP could abandon the Android-based product as a one-off anomaly. (HP has a good record of keeping up with product warranties however.) It could also continue to develop it with the Android platform as a hedge against its webOS strategy going forward.  It could also sell off the Android unit to a competitor like Dell (DELL), Samsung or Canon who want to use Android in their printers.

HP could also ‘upgrade’ the device to a webOS software base at some point in the future.  There is nothing in this ARM powered tablet that won’t run WebOS. HP has made no secret of the fact that it plans to use the webOS in its smart printer lineup going forward.

In any case, this device is likely to be one of the last of its kind — a soon to be extinct, ‘duck-billed platypus’ of tablet-printers from HP.

Here’s what’s likely to be a rare sighting:
